Pre/post-Event Sports Massage
Pre-event sports massage is a short, focused treatment designed to prepare the muscles and body for physical activity. It is best performed shortly before exercise or competition, typically around 15–30 minutes beforehand, using lighter, more stimulating techniques rather than deep tissue work. The aim is to increase circulation, promote mobility, and help the muscles feel warm, loose and ready for movement.
Post-event massage will help to alleviate muscle soreness and reduce recovery time after intense workouts or competitions. It can be performed from 15 minutes up to 48 hours after intense exercise. To gain the most benefit, this massage should be carried out as soon as possible after a big training session or event.
